How to generate Lockteq access codes that don't require a booking.

Learn how to generate permanent, timed, and one-time access codes for your staff, contractors, and customers.

Step-by-step guide

Watch our video tutorial on how to generate a new permanent, timed, or one-time code:

  1. If you are a multi-venue operator, make sure you have selected the correct venue from the venue list at the top of your Workspace
  2. Navigate to the Lockteq section on the left-hand side of the screen.
  3. Select 'Create new code' in the top right-hand side of the screen.
  4. When the pop-up appears, select the code type, enter a nickname for the new code, and select the device you'd like to create the code for.
  5. Enter your 4 digit-code or allow the software to generate a new code randomly. You'll  need to create a unique 4 digit code that isn't currently being used.
  6. Select 'Create' to confirm the code.
  7. You can optionally then choose either email or SMS to then send this code to the user/customer.
  8. You can search for an existing customer, or add a new customer.
  9. Select 'close and send' to complete the action. Your customer should now have received a new code and be able to access your facility.
