How to set up a Facebook business account and page

Before you can sign up for your Facebook Business Page, you need to log into your personal Facebook account. So, if you’re not already logged into your personal account, log in now, then go into the Page creation steps.

  1. Go to Facebook
    Visit facebook.com and click on "Create Account" or "Sign Up."
    Enter your business name, email address, password, date of birth, and gender.

  2. Confirm Your Email
    Facebook will send a confirmation email to the email address you provided.
    Click on the link in the email to verify your account.

  3. Add Business Details
    Once your account is verified, you'll be prompted to enter additional information about your business, including your business name, category, address, and phone number.

  4. Create Your Page
    After completing the initial setup, you'll have the option to create a Facebook Page for your business.
    Click on "Create Page" and follow the prompts to set up your Page.
    Choose a category that best describes your business, add a profile picture (like your logo), and write a brief description.

  5. Customize Your Page
    Customize your Page by adding a cover photo, creating a username (like @YourBusinessName), and filling out all the sections in the "About" tab.
    Make sure to include your business hours, website URL, and contact information.

  6. Invite Friends to Like Your Page
    Start by inviting your friends, family, and colleagues to like your Page.
    This will help you build an initial audience and get your Page off the ground.

  7. Create Your First Post
    Write and publish your first post to introduce your business or share something interesting with your followers. You can include photos, videos, links, or text updates.

  8. Explore Page Settings
    Spend some time exploring the settings and features of your Facebook Page.
    You can customise your Page layout, manage notifications, set up messaging options, and more.

  9. Promote Your Page
    Promote your Facebook Page by sharing it on other social media platforms, adding a Facebook "Like" button to your website, and running Facebook Ads campaigns to reach a wider audience.

  10. Engage with Your Audience
    Keep your Page active by posting regularly and engaging with your audience.
    Respond to comments, messages, and reviews from your followers to build relationships and grow your Page's following.

This is your business's Facebook Page with minimal information, you can always add more information either now or later.
