We’ve included an example of how you can structure your website, as well as a breakdown of the information that you may want to add to improve the booking experience for your customers.

- Make sure that it’s easy to find your facility and bookings page on your website
- Check what your website looks like on a mobile device. It should be easy to find the information they are looking for and make a booking
- Include clear contact details, opening instructions and instructions on how to book your facilities - this will reduce the number of incoming enquiries and phone calls you get
- If you have a lot of information on your page, consider a quick links section at the top of the page with anchored links for easy navigation

How to structure your website

Navigation
It’s important your customers can easily find your facilities pages on your website.
- We recommend putting a link to your facility hire page in your navigation menu and a Call to Action (CTA) button to ‘Book now’ or ‘Make a Booking’
- If you can, make the CTA button a different colour so it stands out and draws attention - bright colours like red or green
- Link your logo in the top left hand corner to your homepage for easy navigation around your website
Hero section
This is the area that immediately shows up on the screen under your logo and menu and it’s the first thing your customers will see when they visit your website.
- Maximise this space by using high quality images in a carousel or a video to show what your facilities look like.
- Visuals will help your customers familiarise with your facilities. This will gives users a feel of the facility and reduce any barriers caused by going to a new, unfamiliar place.
- Images will also help them decide if it’s the right facility for them and reduces any questions to your team.
- Include short headlines about what your facilities offers or what they can do there with a CTA button to encourage bookings.
Facilities and accessibility section
Give your customers information about the facilities you have available.
- Provide facility information in the form of a list or bullet points
- Think about the information you’d like when visiting a facility eg toilets, parking, lockers, changing rooms
- Make sure you give detail around the accessibility of your facility to reduce barriers to access and increase usage
Frequently asked questions
Use this section to include all of the commonly asked questions that your team receives when a customer is trying to make a booking or an enquiry.
- Review previous enquiries and speak to your team to write a list of your FAQs with the answers.
- Prioritise the most important and frequently asked questions - you don’t want this section to be too long.
- If you can, you can use an accordion function so customers can open and close your FAQs to make website navigation easier.

Make a booking
By adding the Bookteq online widget to your website customers will be able to see your live availability, making it easier for them to make a booking and reducing booking administration for your team.
- We’ve included guidance on how to add your widget in your starter pack.
- If you can’t embed your widget you can include a button which links to the widget, which will open up a new tab. Be mindful, that this will increase the number of clicks for your customers and will add another step for them to book.
Booking Terms and Conditions
Use this section to include any important booking documents like Terms and Conditions, making them readily available for users to read. You’ll also be able to use this as a reference point to direct your customers if they have any questions.

How do I make a booking?
To make a booking, use the online booking calendar at the bottom of this page. You’ll be able to see our live availability and then make and pay for your booking.
How do I make a block booking?
To make a block booking, use the online booking calendar at the bottom of this page. You’ll be able to see our live availability and then make and pay for your booking. Make sure that you select the ‘Block Booking’ toggle when making your booking.
How do I pay for a booking?
You can make and pay for your booking using the online booking calendar at the bottom of this page. Once you’ve made a booking you’ll also be able to register for the Customer Portal to make and manage your bookings.
How do I cancel a booking?
Log in to your Customer Portal account and navigate to the bookings table to view your bookings. Select the specific booking you wish to cancel and access the order view for the selected booking. In the order view, locate and click on the "Cancel Bookings" tab. If within our cancellation policy, you’ll see items that can be cancelled.
How do I get a refund?
We understand that circumstances can change, and you may need to cancel or amend your booking. If within our cancellation policy, our system will automatically process it for you. Please allow 7-10 working days for the refund to return to the original payment method.
How do I amend a booking?
If within our cancellation policy, you can amend your booking in the Customer Portal. Navigate to the bookings section and locate the specific booking or reservation that you wish to move or amend.
Select the booking and choose the option to amend it. Then select a new date and time for the booking.
