What is Read-only access and how is it used?

What does the read-only access permission allow users to view? How to create read-only users and how it's used

With Read-only access, you can share your calendar with additional users in your workspace easily and securely. Read-only users can view bookings through the Calendar and Bookings tab but not edit, move or delete any booking information. They are also unable to send payment links or invoices.

Who is Read-only access for?

Read-only access gives users the ability to view the booking calendar for their designated venues, including the booking details, as well as a straightforward list of bookings.

Read-only access is very helpful if you have volunteers or staff that you want to know about upcoming bookings so they can grant and monitor bookers' access, while knowing that no information can be changed.

How to assign a user read-only access permissions:

From your Bookteq dashboard scroll down to Account and select Users from the dropdown menu. You can then either add a new user or click on the existing user you want to give read-only access to.

On the selected user details, scroll down to Select the role for this new user and click on Read-only. Then simply save your changes. This user is now permitted to view the calendar and upcoming bookings with read-only access.

The below is an example of how the calendar looks from a read-only access user's perspective:
